Diastasis Recti is directly translated to “separation of the rectus abdominal muscles”. These muscles are most recognized as the “6-pack” abs and the separation of these muscles affect the connective tissue known as the libia alba.
This separation is very commonly found in women who have had children and the condition is extremely under diagnosed. Whether you have had a baby last week or 24 years ago, this problem does not get corrected unless you take the necessary steps to rehabilitating the abdominal muscles to bring them back together.
In the video below, Kevin Arnason and Michele Locke talk about what a diastasis recti is, it’s symptoms, how someone gets it, prevention and correction.
